David Leedy | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

A graduate of Indiana University (B.A. in Speech Communication) and Trinity International University (Master of Divinity), he had originally planned on a career in medicine. While at Indiana University, God upended his priorities and he became convinced that the best way for him to make a difference in the world was to invest in the spiritual, moral, educational development of young people. David is compelled by a conviction that classical Christian education provides the best possible life foundation for students.

Prior to joining Augustine Classical Academy, he spent over 30 years working in higher education contexts, first in campus ministry with Cru then in higher education administration. From 2000 to 2023, he served at The King's College in New York City, helping to relaunch and build an urban, classical college from the ground up. He consummated his time at King's as the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students.

In his free time, he can be found road cycling in the foothills of the Rockies or watching Indiana Hoosiers basketball. He has been married to Kathy for 25 years and has two children who attend Augustine Classical Academy.
