A mascot, far more than a mere image to bring to sports events, is a wonderful means of celebrating an important aspect of our school's mission.
A knight is identified by his training, strength, and courage for the sake of the weak, needy, and oppressed. And more importantly, a knight is identified by his commitment to what is true and right in the face of hardship, because he is first committed to Christ.
Christ, the true Knight, slays the dragon (the serpent Satan) and rescues his people.
These are qualities we seek to instill in all young men and women of Augustine Classical Academy. They are inspired to put on the Sword of the Spirit, the Helmet of Salvation, and the Shield of Faith. In their pursuit of what is true, good, and beautiful, they look to Christ who will give them the courage and strength to do what is right for his glory.
