Rita Feldman | K-1st Homeschool Collaborative

First Year at ACA: 2021

From a very young age, Rita felt the call to be a teacher. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology at Metropolitan State College and a Master of Arts in Special Education at the University of Colorado, Denver. Rita enjoyed teaching children with learning disabilities (K-6th) until her first child was born, when she decided to put her heart into being a stay-at-home mom.  As Rita’s children grew, she had the opportunity to go back to work as a teacher at the private Christian school her children were attending. It was there that Rita discovered a passion for teaching preschool-aged children and preparing them for kindergarten.

Rita has been married for 29 years to her husband Tim. They have two grown children, Samuel (23) and Chloe (20). Rita and her family feel blessed to be Colorado natives who enjoy hiking, fishing, and exploring the state. Breckenridge is a favorite family vacation spot. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
