Steve Kortenhoeven | Interim Upper School Principal

Dr. Kortenhoeven has spent the past 35 years leading Christian schools at the high school and college levels. Most recently, Dr. K was the president of Providence Christian College, a classical Christian micro college in Pasadena, California. He is passionate about the classic liberal arts and the importance of integrating all subjects with the Bible.

Dr. Kortenhoeven holds a BA in English/Secondary Education and a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Dordt University along with a doctorate (Ed.D.) from Azusa Pacific University in Higher Education Leadership. Over his career, Dr. Kortenhoeven, has been a high school English teacher, college education professor, college dean of students, high school principal, and college president.

In his free time, Dr. Kortenhoeven enjoys spending time with his wife, Donna, and their five children (and their spouses) … no grandkids yet! If he has any free time, he spends it reading or playing golf and pickleball.
