1st grade | Primary Grades Liaison
Jenn Molen was raised in Wichita, Kansas, and attended Friends University, where she received her elementary education degree with an area of concentration in art. She taught 1st through 3rd grade in the Wichita Public Schools for six years until her daughter was born in May of 2003. She dedicated the next several years to being a stay-at-home mom to her daughter, Hannah, and her son, Chandler, who was born in 2004. During this time she was also blessed with opportunities to continue using her teaching degree by serving for two years as Preschool Ministry Coordinator at her church and, later, writing the curriculum for her church’s children’s ministry.
Jenn and her husband, Chad, first learned about classical Christian education as they prayed about which middle school their daughter should attend. They experienced a complete shift in their understanding of education, realizing that true education can only happen through the lens of Scripture and embracing the classical model of education. In the fall of 2014, Hannah and Chandler began attending the Classical School of Wichita. As Jenn saw her children thriving in a classical Christian school she began to feel a call to be back in the classroom and was blessed to join her children at this school as a 1st grade teacher during the 2015-2016 school year.
In March of 2016 Jenn and Chad learned that the company he works for was relocating their headquarters to the Denver area. After much prayer and a visit to the Denver area in April, they could see God clearly answering prayers and showing them that they were to make this move. Jenn and her family are so thankful for the amazing testimony God has given them and, specifically, for His provision of a wonderful classical Christian school.
In the classroom Jenn finds much joy in watching children learn and grow. It is her prayer that God will work through her to instill in her students a love of learning and to always point them to Christ so they might grow in their knowledge and love of their Savior. In her free time, Jenn loves to cross stitch, knit and crochet, and curl up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
