RITA FELDMANN | Preschool teacher

First Year at ACA: 2021

Rita’s path to becoming a preschool teacher began years ago as a high schooler attending Warren Occupational Technical School in Lakewood, CO, where she also worked at an on-site preschool. This hands-on experience solidified her desire to pursue a teaching career. Rita received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology at Metropolitan State College and a Master of Arts in Special Education at the University of Colorado, Denver. Rita enjoyed teaching children with learning disabilities until her first son was born, at which point she and her husband made the decision that she would put her heart into being a stay-at-home mom. As Rita’s children grew, she had the opportunity to work as a lead teacher in the private Christian school her children were attending. It was here that Rita discovered her passion for teaching preschool-aged children. She loves preparing them for kindergarten, but more importantly, she loves teaching them that they are each God’s beautiful creation, and that the love of our Lord Jesus truly makes Him our best friend.

Rita has been married for 27 years to her husband, Tim, and they have two children, Samuel (21) and Chloe (19). Rita and her family feel blessed to be Colorado natives who enjoy hiking, fishing, mountain biking and skiing. Breckenridge is a favorite family vacation spot.

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Matthew 19:14
