TAYLOR Mccallum | house director and upper school teacher

First Year at ACA: 2021

Taylor McCallum is the House Director and teacher in the Upper School (Composition, Humane Letters, and Rhetoric). A lover of  the great books, seminar-style learning, and the liberal arts, Taylor was naturally inclined toward the Classical Christian  model, and has since loved involving these foundational principles in her classroom.

She studied International and Religious Studies at the University of Arkansas (go hogs!) for her undergraduate degree, and received her Masters of Biblical and Theological Studies from Denver Seminary. Previously, she worked for her church in Denver, The Heights, as the Director of Kids Ministry.

Taylor enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and camping with her husband, running with her labradoodle, reading for fun, and exploring new recipes!

Her approach to learning is marked by the quote from Aristotle: "It is the mark of the educated mind to entertain a thought without accepting it."
