HELEN TRUJILLO | second grade teacher

First Year at ACA: 2018

Helen Trujillo is a second grade teacher at Augustine Classical Academy. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico and the youngest of 10 siblings, Helen has been in the classroom for over 15 years teaching primary and middle grades.

Helen is thankful to be a member of the ACA family and believes that a Classical Christian education is the best choice parents can make for their children. Her goal is to build relationships in the community and to create a classroom atmosphere that promotes virtue and glorifies God. Helen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in mathematics from Grand Canyon University. She really enjoys teaching Botany and Old Testament History (which pairs nicely with Ancient Egypt History), but her passion is mathematics.

Helen and her husband, Isaac, reside in Lakewood, CO and have two children. In her free time, Helen enjoys solving puzzles of all kinds, playing board games, reading, baking, and working on random arts and crafts projects.
